Minhwa Seminar by prof. Jung Byung Mo

It was held for Primary school students (born in 2009-2014) living in Singapore in September 2021 at the Goodman Art Centre in Singapore.  A total of 32 children participated 'SAMA Children's Minhwa Drawing Workshop' for about 2 hours each class for 2 days in a group of 8-9 students. Not only they learned about Minhwa art through theory, but they also learned through games and quizzes. And SAMA guided them to complete their Minhwa artwork with their own thoughts and stories.

'SAMA Children's Minhwa Drawing Workshop' event was held as part of our continued efforts to promote Minhwa art. SAMA organised a program so that the children's artwork completed during workshop could participate in 'The18th World Children's Minhwa Drawing Contest' hosted by Gahoe Minhwa Museum in Seoul, Korea.

The outcome was a huge success: all 32 participants who submitted their completed Minhwa artwork during the SAMA workshop were honored with the award. In particular, the 1st place in the second grade went to one of the SAMA children, Da Kyung Lim. In addition, all the winners from 'SAMA children's Minhwa Drawing Workshop', including Mila Wong, the second-ranked in the fourth grade and Rachel Gaeun Jee, the third-ranked in the first grade, their artworks will be displayed at the award winning exhibition held at the Ghana Art Centre from the 29th of Dec. to the 4th of Jan. in Seoul, Korea.
